How many treatments are required?
Laser tattoo removal requires you to come in for multiple treatment sessions. The number of treatments required depends on the quality and depth of your tattoo application. Other factors include density of ink used in your tattoo, the color that was used and whether it was applied by a professional or an amateur.

All of these factors combined will determine the necessary number of treatments. We anticipate that tattoos applied professionally will require 3-8 treatments while amateur tattoos can often be removed in as little as three treatments.

Does tattoo removal hurt?
Some patients say they feel a slight sting, like the snap of a rubber band on the skin, followed by the feeling of sunburn on the area treated. Most treatments do not require anesthetic; however, some patients feel more comfortable with a local numbing agent like ice or an anesthetic cream.

How much does it cost?
The cost of each session depends on the size of the tattoo or tattoos being removed. We’ll quote the cost of each session during your free consultation. We are able to offer both package pricing and individual treatment pricing.

What is the healing process?
Most patients experience some redness, swelling, and minor blistering of the skin with each laser treatment. These side effects are temporary and your skin will heal completely. We provide our patients detailed after-care instructions to help them manage their skin after each treatment.

How often are treatments performed?
Treatments are performed every 4-6 weeks.
